Tuukka Koski is a photographer and videographer based in Helsinki and New York City. As a child he dreamt of life as an acrobat, and later explored his culinary talents in the Michelin-starred restaurant world before committing to photography as a profession.
Tuukka’s still and moving images are known for their breathtaking and surreal quality, like moments captured in a dream, both memorable and elusive. Possessing a gift for storytelling, Tuukka brings characteristic layers of complexity to people and objects with his use of light, place, time and mood. His curiosity and deep research of his subjects transforms into a strong yet malleable vision that allows for happy accidents as moments unravel on set.
