STÉPHANE COUTELLE

Stéphane Coutelle is a French photographer and director, known for his stunning portraits of women, who has succeeded in combining a fine art and a commercial career.

An established beauty photographer, he has signed advertising campaigns for brands such as L'Oreal Paris, Vichy, Lancôme, Nuxe, Lierac, Avon, Kerastase, and Pantene.

Since 2004, he has been directing hair and beauty commercials for L’Oreal, Dessange, Vichy, Inneov.

His most memorable pictures and films feature supermodels and actresses such as Camille Rowe, Doutzen Kroes, Milla Jovovich, Claudia Schiffer, Laetitia Casta and Olga Kurylenko. 

Coutelle’s parallel fine art career was marked in 2014 by the release of the book Insomnies, published by Damiani, which was combined with an exhibition in Paris as part of Le Mois de la Photo program.

Stéphane Coutelle’s work revolves endlessly around women, whom he depicts in a unique, bold, yet deeply empathic way. His pictures, beyond their plastic beauty, reveal a genuine closeness to his models. His most recent work is a series of beautiful unretouched portraits.
